What is Love?

Love, Love, Love, Love, Love... we hear the word everyday but do we really ever stop and think what it truely means???

What is love??? Well... this is what the Bible says...

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." ~ John 3:16 ~ Wow! Our Heavenly Father loved us so much that He sent his son, Jesus Christ, here to earth to die for our sins. I mean He sent Christ knowing that he would have to suffer and would die... if that's not love I don't know what is...

"Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved." Ephesians 2:4-5 ~ God loves us so much that He gives us grace and mercy... He gives us life...

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." ~ John 15:12-13 ~ If we all could live with a love like this can you think of what the world would be like...

"Love is patient, love is kind. It doesnot boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always hopes, always perseveres." ~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ~ This is true love...

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." ~1 John 4:18 ~

This are the different kinds of love...

eros [ERR-OS] (mushi or sexual love)
phileos (brotherly love)

storge (parental love)

agape [Ah-Gah-Pay] (God's love for us) (which is unfailing and unlike any other love nothing can come close to the way God loves us)

Just remember that love isn't just a word... It is a feeling and a way to live... :)

Word of God Speak

'I'm finding myself at a loss for words and the funny thing is it's okay... the last thing I need is to be heard, but to hear what You would say... Word of God speak, would You pour down like rain, washing my eyes to see Your majesty, to be still and know that You're in this place... please let me stay and rest in Your holiness... I'm finding myself in the midst of You, beyond the music, beyond the noise..."

I love this song and I'm not sure why but it has been in my mind all day today... so I decided to share it... God has His reasons for things... although we may not understand them...

God has saved us by grace and we must reach out to others to share His love and show them His grace...

Lord, help me be a light for You... to reach those who need You, who have never heard Your name.

He will never leave you or forsake you.

God's Wonders

I went on a trip to Arizona last March... it was fun, but looking back now, I can't believe that I didn't see all of God's wonders around me... I saw them yes but didn't thank God or think of it that way while I was there... I see them now, but that's not the same as seeing it in the moment...

I try to look for His wonder in everything now... and I do, you just have to know to look for them...

He takes my breath away with every sunrise and every sunset I am blessed to see... What an awesome God... If the most beautiful sunset or sunrise is just a teeny tiny glimpse of what Heaven will be like, just imagine... I'm packing my bags now (if you know what I mean)... I'm looking forward to the day I reach glory...

Waiting on the World to Change

Why are we waiting on the world to change, when we have the power to change it??? God has given us all we need to change the world. All we have to do is change it... But why aren't we??? Is it fear??? Of what??? What do we have to lose??? Just think of what we have to look forward to... If we're not moving forward, we're going backwards...

Lord, help me to change the world...

We have to stand up and stand out and change the world. I think we've done enough waiting... We never know when our last breathe will be so why waste it? Make a change, stand out, be bold, lean on God and take courage from Him and do His will, fulfill your purpose for your life... We will not be happy until we are fulfilling God's purpose for our lives...

Help me, Lord!

I'm talking to me... Stop waiting... Now is our time, not tomorrow. Today, right now...

What Will Your Legacy Be?

What will your legacy be? How will people remember you?

I'd been wondering off the narrow path before camp and I hated it but I couldn't bring myself back I was in to deep... so I kept wondering farther and farther off the narrow path... but praise God that through camp and the uplifting and prayers of others I was brought back and now have a new passion for Christ...

Going Through the Motions

Just ok is not enough.... I don't want to go another day without Your all consuming passion inside of me, dear Lord...

I don't want to just go through the motions anymore... I want to live my life for You... I might break but at least i'll be feeling something...

God has lite a new flame in my life and I don't want to let it go out... not the way this feels...

He has great plans for me and it may not be the easiest path but it is the best path and i trust God to help me through it all...

He is my rock and my salvation... and always will be, He will guide me through the nothingness of this life...

Waiting on You Lord

I will wait on You, Lord, for You are my God and you have given me so much more than I deserve... I wish I could see what I am waiting on but I trust that You will show me when the time is right...

This past week at camp God has shown me so much and taught me so many new things... I know from now on I will wait as I have failed to do so many times before... Thanks to many I have found me core again and am willing to do whatever I have to, to keep it!
